its just rumor as nothings confirmed.

The leak has not been confirmed but it appears the Nokia N9 has been revealed in a video ad promoting the device as seen below. GSMArena says the phone seen in the video is a suitable successor to the N8 with a full QWERTY keyboard and full-touch UI.

There are also suspicions the device will be Nokia's first to run the MeeGo operating system as the uploaded video has been tagged with it. Once again though, nothing is confirmed outside the video.

The potential leak comes on the same day Nokia's anticipated N8 smartphone was shown at its annual Nokia Connection event in Singapore. The company defended its number one position in the smartphone market despite renewed pressures from Apple's iPhone after last weeks iPhone 4 announcement.

Speaking at the event Nokia's senior vice president for smartphones Jo Harlow said Nokia's leadership had been questioned in recent months.

"However, it is often overlooked that we continue to have the largest market share in mobile devices and the largest share in smartphones, which is the fastest growing segment."

April saw Nokia announce it hoped to boost its smartphone market share to 41% from an estimated 40% between October and December last year. 21.5 million of the 52.6 million smartphones sold in the first quarter this year were sold by Nokia helping the company's net profits to reach €349 million compared to €122 million from the same period a year ago.

Nokia is yet to comment on the potential N9 leak in the build up to the release of the latest Symbian run phone, the N8.

There was another N9 thread, I read it, and the link I tried to use wouldn't let me watch the video, so I for one am glad you made this thread. HURRAY hardware keyboard, I hope it works well, it looks kinda of prototype-gimmicky...

you can't search for "n9", it's too short.
