Sorry if people have ranted on this before but I am straight up disgusted by Nokia's refusal to fix the broken video driver on the N900. It is impossible to perform fast scrolling in any application, or have smooth screen transitions. As a developer, why would I devote my energy to making a smooth refined application when the platform refuses to support smooth graphics?

As soon as the Cellular driver in NitDroid is working I am going dual boot. I will miss some of the cool applications available in Memo, but the fact that the community is able to get vsync working in Nitdroid, while Nokia with all their corporate might refuses to address the issue in Maemo tells you something about this product.

NITdroid has vsync enabled? Cool!

BTW I just signed up on meego.com and voted for bug 5711 at http://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5711 .

Note from stskeeps says hardware assisted vsync is "available" (in the pipeline)

qgil on meego.com forum mentions the easiest way to "get involved" in meego development is to look at the bug jars (reports) and VOTE for the ones you prefer: http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=1299

[citation needed]

To my knowledge, nitdroid doesn't have vsync. However, their architecture is different so you might not see the artifacts of tearing that easily..
