Hello.

I have a question. Basically I am planning to reflash my N900 (because apparently it can increase battery life etc...). So I Googled for a guide, and I came accross this link from Nokia Support Discussions forum. It talks about downloading the OS of the N900 from 'http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php'. Here is where I am kind of confused.

Is there a difference between the UK version of PR1.2 and the Global version of PR1.2? I am currently in the UK and my N900 is from the UK, so which one shall I go for?

The only reason for this confusion is because this link says to download the Global version where as the Nokia forum says to download the local version.

Thank you very much.

There are many versions Kevin. There's an Indian Version, Global, UK version and Vodafone version and as such. But they are all pretty much the same. I'm currently using the UK version but will soon be re-flashing to Global version. Some people believe that any updates usually come to the Global version first, but that's not always true. You can choose any and it won't make any difference, they are all the same.

Next time, do a quick search here on the forums as these options have been discussed extensively before.....members aren't too fond of unnecessary threads being created if the answers lie out there when you do a search....cheers.

Get the UK version, I think the difference is only in the language packs.
