So i used to be a bit active here years ago when it was still InternetTabletTalk and i had an N800 and afterwards N810 and after horrible experiences with both devices, i sold them and moved on.

Now of late i've been bored stiff and decided to play around with an N900 since i found one going for $300 and will soon pick it up.

During my N800/N810 days, i had a license for Navicore (Version: 2.2.1.62) which i used on the N800 (and an external BT GPS receiver) and it was okay and worked but it could never hold a candle to TomTom running on my Palm Treo.

Anyway, i don't have the N900 yet (getting it later today maybe), and seeing as OVI maps gets a bad rap so often, i was wondering if Navicore would work on the N900? I still have all the files and map data for North America including the installation .deb file.

I looked up Navicore and they're now part of Wayfinder, and their support page only lists the N770 and N800 as being Navicore compatible. Anyone tried to install Navicore on the N900 and did it work?

Well to answer my own question, it doesn't work. The deb file installs fine but the Navicore app will not launch, just crashes.

Guess it's on to Sygic or Ovi maps then.
