I have both MetroMap and TravelApp installed, both are good for different things. I like how TravelApp gives notifications on line service, but it currently won't give me a route, saying network error.
MetroMap, on the other hand, routes me ok but doesn't do much else and it's a headache because you can't zoom in or out from the page or volume keys, but have to go to the menu and change the zoom level then wait for it to reload. And it doesn't give a list of stations you use, so when you have a route you have to try to find it then follow the route, which is pretty painful.
Is there a tube map that lets you tap/volume keys to zoom, offers routing and, ideally, gives line notifications?
NB: this isn't a dig at the developers, all the effort is greatly appreciated.
Edit: I found mwTube in case anyone is going to suggest it, but the thread hasn't been updated since June so doesn't look like it's been developed further?
Edit 2: Just installed Tube on Android, I recognise it from Symbian (had it on the 5800) but don't remember if it had the same name. Anyway, that's pretty much what i've been looking for on the N900 - nice sized map, line service, route planner with a clear route (tells you what stations and if you say 'show on map' the stations blink, making the route obvious).
