Since the latest firmware update I have been having some problems.

If an application crashes the next shutdown will kill the Nokia , on startup the machine is stuck at the Nokia logo.

The only way to fix it is to reflash the device and restore from a backup , which is starting to get annoying.

Anyone else suffering with this ?

You might want to review bug #999 and if it describes your situation, submit a comment along with any additional diagnostic information you may be able to provide.

For the record I don't think your situation is common although since the reboot loop was quite common with the original firmware it's entirely likely a handful of corner cases still exist in the latest firmware, and you're just incredibly unlucky or you have unintentionally discovered a means to reproduce the problem!

What programs are you restoring from back up BTW?

The programmes that seem to crash are the internal Opera browser or the Gizmoproject softphone.

The only other programme I install is FBReader but never have any real problems with that.

The crash happens whether I restore my previous settings / data from a backup or just start from scratch.

It doesn`t seem like a reboot loop , more like a reboot freeze - the device powers on to the Nokia logo and thats it , no blue 'loading' bar , no sounds , no icons.

I am currently testing it without installing any applications and just leaving it on , if it crashes again I think I`m going to send it back for a checkup.
