hi guys I was in the middle of looking through folders in Xterminal and up pooped a message saying: rootsh has been depricated because it was found to cause to much harm to the device.

what can I do now? I can't gain access to anything now through termainl it keeps asking for RD mode, does anyone know of another way around? Is there away just to add a user so I dn't need rootsh?

Well it still exists in the app manager window so I have the option of uninstalling it but i get an error to that there is not enough memory, how do I clear out the rootsh memory? Its really annoying I can't even send a txt message!

rootsh is safe though yeah?

Just to add in aswell I did add the debian repos to my device. http://ftp.ca.debian/debian/ main contrib non-free

This is getting ridiculous..

That's...... debatable. The package itself is perfectly safe... what you do with it....

Those can be very dangerous.. OTOH, and if you've installed much from them that is likely the cause of your full root drive.

here has several suggestions.

I agree.. but so far he's the only one to report it and many people use root. So I'm hoping this is an isolated incident.

This is concerning, and I'm hoping it's a result of user error rather than the recent firmware update.

to be honest i installed cowsay as a test to see if the debian repos worked any and it worked fine, I posted it up here earlier.

I tried installing Kword but the python dependencies wouldn't go and thats when the problem started. Would it be best to remove the debian packages or even just hook it up to a pc and reinstall the 51.1 update refreshing everything.

at least then I can install rootsh again and only some of the other repo's.
