Hey

i installed the SixAxix support + Sixad packages.

Why does one of the above include a comic book called "1 Astroboy adaptation" ?

Now I do not want nor like having things being put onto any of my devices without my permission, it is one of the above packages that includes this comic book which takes up 18 megs of space, why is it included? Advertising? I thought I had got away from forced advertising with the N900...

I just thought I would raise this and also ask if anyone else has noticed this?

cheers

exactly, I removed it and tried looking for it in App manager, but it isnt there, it appears when I install either the SIXAxis support or the Sixad packages...

Are you sure about this? The Astroboy comic is an app from the Ovi store, and as far as I can tell the sixaxis-support and sixad author isn't connected with the company doing the comic.

I also ran "apt-get install sixaxis-support" and it didn't list the comic in the list of apps to be installed (but I didn't continue the installation), I was going to run it for the App Manager to test your claim, but the warning about closing all my apps and rebooting my N900 put me off from doing it right away, I may later though.

Close this post...

Upon further investigation, I found out one of our little nippers (6 year old cousin) installed it from a site, which was probably the ovi store as you said above...

hmmm.. time to set up a password on my phone.

Sorry to the author of SixAxis and Sixad ;-)
