Why don't you try the new Ovi Suite as it is now fully compatible with the N900..

Probably you better try asking on Nokia forum. I installed last version, 7.1.60.0, on XP sp3, and everything seems to work fine.
@sevep PC Suite is lighter and has better support for N900 (backup). I found Ovi Suite ugly and power hungry, and uninstalled it since the first beta 3.

I've not had any instability issues prior to the update, apparantly this is what the update is supposed to fix, so I'll skip it for now - magullo did you notice any changes to your system after installation?

Guys, thanks for your help, but it appears I might have a problem with my PC, whilst downloading the new Ovi Suite I also got the same problem.

No nothing wrong with my PC, I've downloaded other programs OK but my PC dosent seem to like software from Nokia
