MicroB required the Heimlich maneuver. Firefox died and crashed the whole OS. Only Opera could show it. Will this happen more and more as the phone becomes a senior citizen?

(It's a local news org)

I guess those things will start to happen, but not really soon.

That's interesting. Even after a reboot MicroB gave me two "not responding"s and I eventually had to 'end current task' from the power menu.

EDIT: You can try test-rendering-time

Took quite long to open it, but it opened in the end (no strange behavior). You should try deleting your browsing history and setting a bigger cache value.

mine is having a hard time, but I've been able to scroll around. Ask 2 times for killing microb, but in the end it loaded it (well I hited the stop button at some point). Smooth scroll now.

Page loads OK for me in appx 14 secs, but it's a bit chuggy during that time.

Your device crashing is very likely to be related to your dubious collection of licence-busting binaries/libraries and scripts that you are trying to profit from: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=67710

The superficial reason is that there are multiple flash streams page, each appearing to be of quite a high bit rate, as well as lots of data-driven content. The underlying reason of how this causes a crash, not just a slow down, I don't know.

In my case, the page opened slowly but ran for a while. I switched to here (Ctrl + bksp) to report and it all went haywire. I also had FAM open.

Interesting but don't think it's a real sign of websites to come, other than by confused web designers who throw everything on one page!
