Cant we have some basic applications using QT/ Webkit which could convert these into some dumb apps??

(Please forgive my lack of knowledge of coding, but am just brainstorming on a possibility which would open up many interesting doors for us)

Ofcourse they can be used in browser, but a gadget on desktop or a separate application has its own charm

For example the Gmail gadget is quite usable in itself...
