I just got a new 770 last night, and the setup was a breeze. The only thing that is concerning me is that the screen backlighting seems to be very uneven, especially along the right side. The screen is nice and bright overall, but with dark blotches along the edges. I bought the device mainly for ebook reading, and this is going to make it less desirable. Is this normal for this device? If not I will see if Nokia will fix it.

Mine also has that, to a very small extent. If you set FBReader to a black background with white text it become unnoticeable.

Thanks for the tip. Does FBReader have any "themes" like eReader, or do you just have to set every color independently? Since I just got the 770 I have not used it very much. I did notice that the View Rotate (to get it in portrait mode) did not seem to be "sticky"; the next time I started FBReader it came up in normal landscape mode.

you set each color individually - I think that once you load a book, it will save your spot and horizontal-vertical oriantation.
