Yesterday I tried to purchase an app from the Store, and when it asked for payment it gave me the option of payment from my credit card, or payment through my carrier bill. I selected carrier bill, and it hung. It attempted to "authorise payment", and I left it overnight, and it was still there this morning, trying to authorise.

I then killed the app (with swipe down), and tried again, thinking I could just use the credit card option, but now the Store app doesn't work at all. I can start the Store app, and after about ten seconds, it fails with "Store not responding, Close application ?".

I've rebooted the device, and still the same behaviour - can anyone shed any light on this behaviour, and perhaps advise a way I can make it work again ? Is there a configuration file somewhere I can poke around in. Why does it still fail after a reboot - it must have saved its state somewhere - where might this file be ?

I had used the carrier bill option successfully before, probably on PR1.0. I am now on PR1.2

The carrier is Telstra (Australia).

Is there a backdoor way of installing apps other than through the store ? [it was the Personal Web Server app I was attempting to install]

Many thanks for any advice ...

N9 Store App store was down, but working again a few hours later. I had used the carrier bill option successfully yesterday.

Nokia Store application on N9 is not stable i think. It starts freezing eveytime because of code mistakes.Every step must started with threads but it freeze just because of it coded wrong way.

I Read the OP yesterday and whilst I normally pay by card, I thought I would try by the phone bill method to test.

Once I selected payment by phone, Nokia Store just hung with a circle of death. After ten minutes I closed the Nokia Store app.

Now I am experiencing exactly the same problem as described in the OP. I use T-Mobile UK so I think it if the store and not a carrier specific problem.

I will email Nokia store support and see what they recommend.

Try deleting your Nokia account and adding it again. Reboot, allow Nokia account to sync. Try the Nokia store. This seems to have worked for me. Although I will be paying by by bank card method in future.

Thanks for the suggestions, and for reproducing the problem. I emailed nokia support, and they responded with the suggestion to clear the browser history (done through the settings app), and to then restart the phone.

After I did this, the store app seems to be working OK now. I haven't tested it extensively, but I was able to complete the purchase I was trying to make originally (by credit card this time!)

It's still a nasty bug. I suppose I could try the bill option again to see whether it might have been server related, as was suggested, but I might leave that for another time.

I recently came across the same problem (with PR 1.3).

I also solved it by clearing the browser history, through Settings/Web/Clear Private Data. I first tried clearing only the Browsing history and rebooting, but the problem remained; after selecting all options (Browsing history, Cookies and Passwords) and rebooting, the problem went away.

I since tried to use Bill Pay again, and the problem reappeared, so I'm assuming that it doesn't work with my carrier anymore (O2 Ireland). CCard payment still works fine.
