Hi

so we have Qt 4.7 now, and we are supposed to start testing qt quick.
But where is qmlviewer in the device? I can not find it and it does not seem to be installed with the qt declarative debian package.

I am wondering this very same thing - the first thing i tried to do after the upgrade was verify qt 4.7 was there (which it is ) and then look for qmlviewer - which i did not find Its actually not designed as a deployed runtime env for qml apps - rather as a debugging/development tool - but still - would be very nice to have this on the device.

Just do

apt-get update
apt-get install qt4-declarative-qmlviewer

And you'll get it:

# dpkg --listfiles qt4-declarative-qmlviewer
/.

/usr/share/icons/hicolor
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64

I can't find qmlviewer or the qt4-declarative-qmlviewer package.

Can someone help me figure out why?

I'm running maemo5 version 20.2010.36-2 and have extras and extras-devel enabled.

I have just tried this on harmattan PR1.3. The install fails with dependency problems regarding several qt libs, stating that qt4-declarative-qmlviewer is on version ...~git2011xxxx m6 but the required libs are on ...~git201203xx m8.

Is there a build of qt4-declarative-qmlviewer available for the same version of qt libs installed on the device?
