Funny. This posts asks what the red LED is for. My manual says "Secondary camera active (video call)"
For me the red LED means: I'm bricked, I won't charge.
The phone was running low on battery when I hooked it up to USB and accessed some files. I suppose the USB access took more power than it gave and in the middle of writing a file my N900 stopped working. I hooked it up to the powercord and now I get this red LED. I've never seen it before. Charging for my phone was always the yellow blinking light.
This unit is flashed to the latest firmware (2009 v20 if I remember this correctly). What does the red LED mean with the latest Maemo firmware for the N900? Is this what happens when the battery won't charge anymore?
