Hello, in my N9 i've noticed that the sms thread sometimes does not work very well. These are the facts:
- I receive an alert of a new sms and when i go tho read it it shows me another trhead of messages. The information on the sms is from another trhread.
- I tried to restart the device but the problem remains.
- Aditionaly it shows repeated sms in the same trhread.

another problem is on the call history, sometimes it shows a namo of a contact but the number it's not the valid one...

These are annoying problems....

Why is the first thing people suggest always "flash your phone"?!

Check first if the weirdness is for a reason. Do multiple contacts have the same number or something like that?

If you want to go with the wiping/flashing route, first try doing just a wipe of SMS messages by long-holding in Messages and doing "Delete all messages".

If that doesn't fix things, in Settings, Reset you can "Clear device", which is as good as a reflash for non-bricked phones, but is easier.

had the same problem sometimes on my N9, solved it with deleting all messages and restarting the phone. Phone then works without this bug for months.

This is one of the issues you have to live with being a N9 user

Don't live with it. Get another phone

I have another problem w/ SMS - I synched em on my computer via that nokia pc suite. then reinstalled the n9 - and now I thought to sync them back. Unlike contacts, calendar-items etc. it doesn't work in that direction. anybody has any solution for that?
