Well I have been dealing with this issue for a couple of months now and was hoping that i could find a thread that would refer to it but i cant....

It seems like i am alway having the desktop running something and im not sure what it is? I do know that the status bar applet and status graph both say that its the desktop that is running so hard and when i go ahead and kill the desktop and it gets back up its fine for a bit. I just dont understand what could be causing this issue.

I have the rotation installed, the only applets that i have on the desktop are weather and the home wifi strength? I have my background picture stored on the hard-drive instead of mmc1 or 2.

I did get that metadata crawler about a month or so ago but i managed to get rid of that. This issue has always been around and i am finally getting a little sick of restarting the desktop about 3 times a day depending on use.

If anyone has had this or has herd about this then please help

Much appreciation

It seemed that i had to remove all of my applets and then the desktop rebooted on its own so i have narowed it down to om weather. For some reason when its running it is constantly trying to do something and it was using quite a bit of the cpu.

Thanks none the less for the help and now im off to find out whats going on with my weather app.

om weather eats cpu cycles & battery juice- there are numerous threads about this

i stopped using om weather about 3-4 months ago and haven't looked back

i use weather underground (incase ou are in the us) mobile web page

not as simple as looking at the desktop- but easy on the juice and cycles

(eg this is the url for my us zip code http://i.wund.com/cgi-bin/findweathe...st?query=60091 )

Ok so i just realized that my icons arent the same as everyone elses I had installed the vista and OSX themes a long time ago and thay changed my icons and i completely forgot about it.

I tried to uninstall them but thay dont seem to uninstall?

Im not really sure what to do to get rid of them and would appreciate a little bit of help from someone with a little bit of knowledge about this if anyone has delt with anything like this before. Again i have an n810 and know that these where for the 770 but I had just got my IT when i first installed these and had just been used to them now?

It just seems like the icons for the vista are always there no matter what i do to get rid of them. I would like to just be able to uninstall both of these if possible.

Thanks in advance for the help.
