Because you don't have to do the annoying Copy / paste steps. This is a click-and-go way...

As i said for before..... the clarity of the videos will go down on the mobile youtube and you can never watch it full screen and you have stupid pop ups taking half of the screen. Do you want all that.
Regarding the copy and paste thing ... waht i do is open both uktube and youtube browser at the same time and long press on the youtube video after the search results come up..... select copy link location change window to uktube and click paste and show in widescreen .... wait for 4-5 second s and there video plays full screen. That is not much of a hard work. And on top of it it saves the clip for later play back.
Personally i prefer to use the large screen the n800 has to offer...

It looks OK on my N95...wouldn't even want to use it on the N800.

No, since you can just use the full version in the browser.

I have to agree that there is no point in using the poor mans youtube. If you don't like uktube, just take the code and make a better one. I originally made uktube in two days and haven't really had the time to invest in making it the kind of application that it really should be. But the core code is there for any adventurous coders to use.

Actually, now that we have an open source browser... hmm. Someone could whip up an extension for the browser to automatically feed the URL over to UKTube... if UKTube supports having URLs passed to it on a command line.
