I noticed the other day that the buttons on my N800 were loose. It looks like the hole for the dpad and home/menu/reload buttons are about a milimeter too big for the buttons so I can move them around. Why is that? and does anybody else have this?

As for why, I don't know. But my N800 has the same problem. Having said that, it's never actually caused a problem for me.

Same here. I guess its a design "feature".

Mine has only about 0.5 mm, but yes, they're made that way.
Try an earlier HP49 calculator -- they have an entire chunk of keys (about 20) that slide around in unison like that. At least until the little tabs connecting them together break, then they wobble, rock, slide, and quite possibly move in even stranger ways that no key should be able to. Makes the N800 seem totally quality.
