I just did a quick price check at PriceGrabber and you can surprisingly now get a Nokia N800 internet Tablet for just $235.60 shipped. The cheapest price on the list (before tax and shipping) is just $224. It is already quite a steal to get the N800 at this price, considering it can be flashed later on with OS 2008. It would be interesting to see how low it goes.

What I think is a steal is that, less than a year I bought a N800, it is available at half of the price I payed for it without any new release yet.

Nokia should give us some discount coupon or money refund as Apple did with iPhone early adopters...

If I was concerned about money refunds I would have searched for a merchant with a good discount policy and thanked them for their policy. Even if I knew the price would be half two months later I still would've been happy to buy my N800 when I did, the price was competitive compared to everything else I wanted at the time. Looking forward to os2008

On topic: is there still $10 coupons etc to make buy.com the cheapest?

One of the reasons I religiously avoid purchasing newly released products (especially Apple products) the depreciation is ridiculous. However this is one product (along with my iPod) that I haven't regretted paying full up for.

You can tell that a lot of the users here aren't mobile phone fanatics where its quite easy for your phone to be obsolete in 3 months . N800 is still the best gadget purchase I have ever made short of my first Symbian phone (3650) even though I got it for $400. I've said it before but I'll say it once more $250 is the perfect price point for these devices to have mass market appeal.

Such a low price makes me wonder if it's true that the N810 will cost $475. If so, why to drop N800 price? I think they're making room for a new $350 tablet in the market.

Quite cheap.....258 Eur is the cheapest I can find in Finland.

I'd get one but I've already got a 770 and it's still perfectly fine for me.

EDIT, it broke yesterday, my second WSOD
