...Update : ok so i found a minor flaw but still good enough for what i would need it for. Don't try to use a text file as input, it will only play or output noise. Instead just input text on the command line like flite "text to speak" or flite "text to speak" out.wav, the flite input.txt and flite input.txt out.wav methods generate noise.
