I've read that the OS for the n770/n800/n810 are based off of Debian.

So why's everyone just waiting for OS2008 and such? What about user created patches to the OS/kernel or whatever? Maybe I've overlooked something.

(Disclaimer: I don't really know what I'm talking about. I've only used Linux for about 2 years of my life, and I haven't touched it for more than a year :\ )
