Hey guys. Any one having problems with the center button on the d-pad not working? It's been working for me for everything but unlocking the screen/buttons. Running the latest os for the 800 if that helps. I just don't know what to check.

I had the same problem. I was listening to the radio and had locked the screen and buttons. Then I unplugged the head-set and couldn't unlock the N800 anymore. The power button worked fine, but the d-pad center button wouldn't work. After a moments panic, I replugged the head-set and the whole thing started working again. I'm not too sure about whether that was a coincidence or not with the head-set, but my advice is 1) not to panic, 2) wait for the screen saver to kick in again properly and 3) retry the unlock.
Good luck!

If this helps anybody, I just experienced this for the first time today, but in OS2008. I locked the screen seconds after disconnecting an audio jack and a minute later tried to unlock it but got no response from the D-pad centre button. I managed to get the screen to unlock by popping the camera out. Naturally this launched the camera application, but it seems better than waiting or taking the battery out.

Does anybody know of a bug report relating to this? It does seem software related.
