Just got an N800. Sometimes it will not switch ON. I am pushing the ON button, nothing happens. After several tries, it suddenly swithches ON.
Slightly irritating.

Anyone else experienced this?
Am I doing something wrong?

You may not be holding it down long enough.

Really, you shouldn't be turning it off, anyway. It's designed to be left on at all times. Just keep it on the charger when you're at home and not using it.

Thanks.
But I have tried holding down split second, and long time, I don't get any wiser....

I could leave it on yes.

Strange indeed! This used to be very common behaviour on the 770s. But I have never seen this condition occur on my N800. On the 770 when it happened, I could recover by making sure the 770 was connected to the AC power supply. It was only when on battery power, and apparently -- but not always -- the battery was low that I would see this condition. You can search the forums for how folks dealt with this problem on the 770.
