As far as HWR goes (I have seen a few threads about it here) the best thing I can do is tell you to check this link...

and find the article where some people got the newton OS to work on the 770. It has links to the binaries and instructions on how to do it but as you can imagion its not easy and way over my head at least. Personally I am still holding out for phat pad but that will be a LOOOOONG time I think.
