I'm trying to resize an image in Photoshop to use as a background image on my 770, my question is as the title states: what is the best resolution for the image?

At the moment I'm using 800 x 480, but I'm not convinced, could someone enlighten me?

Use 720 x 480. The resolution is 800 x 480 but there is the task navigator on the left. 720 fits perfectly.
