Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I love my N800, and recently downloaded a terrific application, Notecase Pro. I even bought a lifetime license, but to activate it, I have to save the "key" in
/usr/share/docs/notecase/ or
~/.notecase/

My problem is, I can't (or at least, don't know how to) navigate to /usr/share/docs/ in the File Manager. Nor will the File Manager let me create a folder starting with a period. When I try to download the terminal programs to do it that way, they refuse to install!

I have the OS 2007 updates. Other than that, nothing unusual.

Any tips would be gratefully received.

That did it. I was thinking that I wanted ncurses-bin. I googled up n800 xterm and that gave me the tool I needed. Thanks!

And what a quick response!
