Hi All

Hopefully someone can solve this mystery for me. I've had the n800 for some months now but can't install applications on it - haven't had the time to investigate but today I updated to Os2008 - all went well (very nice upgrade)... But still can't install apps.

When I try to update the application list I get a

failed to fetch <catalogue url> ... could not connect to <catalogue url>:80 (1.0.0.0) - connect (113 No route to host)

Where I have <catalogue url> is just to indicate that the url of all catalogues comes up the same.

When I enter the url in the web browser on the N800 I get an unable to connect to server message on the browser e.g.

Unable to connect to server

catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com

I just can't figure out what's going on - I can access the same URL from my laptop or desktop. All of them are going through the same wireless router. I don't have any settings to block ip addresses or anything like that.

I am stumped...

Please help.

Thanks

Alan

The key here:
could not connect to <catalogue url>:80 (1.0.0.0)

Your DNS is directing queries to 1.0.0.0 --- I can't think of anything that would do that besides a block list / bad hosts file / bad DNS.

Try using someone else's wireless and see if it still happens.

After making the post here I did try it on another network and it worked fine so I figured it was then down to my network config so I changed settings on my router and on the N800 itself and all is working now at last !
