OK,
so I have searched in the forums, and in the bugzilla database for this, but not found an answer yet.
n800 - ITOS2006 and ITOS2007 - onscreen keyboard has it set where you have to shift to get the "-" character.
n800 - ITOS2008 beta - the dash is there with the numbers, YAY!
n800 ITOS2008 official release...
CRAP the dash is again accessible only with the shift.

DOES anyone know how to change this?

I would very much appreciate knowing how to change those settings, as far as which characters are available by default.
Thanks to anyone kind enough to reply.

I think that it has to do with whether you choose the US or UK English dictionary. There was no '|' character in the 2008 (us) beta either. I guess Nokia marketing figured that Americans don't program computers???

If anyone knows how to change the key map or how to get the 'en' back to caps-lock, please share!

To get CAPS lock press and HOLD the stylus down on the SHIFT key for a couple of seconds.
