There's a thread, I believe the title is "Here is a working VLC player"
and the last few pages have been an effort to stream video from the tablet to another computer.
Try searching for this thread or others like it. Hope this helps!

Yeah, somebody actually was complaining because the thread switched directions mid-way through. But it started out as an effort to get VLC working on the tablets and now it's mostly an effort to get video streaming. I think they might have had some success, but I don't recall the details off the top of my head.

well... a REALLY convoluted way to do it would be to use gizmo on the tablet and on your home computer and then screen-capture the video of the gizmo client on your computer :P
But more seriously, Gizmo works as well, if not better than Skype, IIRC, what exactly are you trying to do with the video?

I'm the one who made such a mess of the VLC thread, trying to get streaming video / audio from the N800. The final answer? There is no (easy) way currently to stream video and audio from the N800 to a computer, other than using Gizmo or the Internet Call client.
I assume you want more than just streaming video, because a baby monitor isn't much use without audio.
so it seems that webcam isnt possible unless both parties are connected w/n800..or gizmo etc..
what about connecting phone to n800 and using that for vid calls..
also,, is there any way i could use n800 vidcam , and show thru home network?
i dunno at all what software to use
thanx
