this is a wishlist, for a device which combines the following

- memory card reader which can take a microdrive or the intermediate 1.8" hard drives with more capacity
- powered usb hub
- battery pack, for topping up the tablet and powering the usb hub

this would be a very useful accessory; bonus points if it were combined with a nano or pico keyboard to turn the tablet into a clamshell!

No memory card reader, which is a shame, though it does have:-
Clip on Keyboard, makes it into a clamshell
External power source in the keyboard
USB
Clip on speakers
Clip on UCC editor (what is that BTW)

Is this close enough?

that's very nice, yes, close to the ideal, wonder where I could buy one!
