Just got our N800 2 months ago, upgraded to OS2008.
Got Skype installed on N800. While entering several contacts I noticed that I mispelled several names. I would like to correct my spelling. I can't seem to find a way to do this. I emailed Skype about this and they say they do not do the Internet Tablet Hardware and had no answer for me.
We also installed Skype on the home computer and editting contacts there is very easy. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Sorry you're having trouble with this. Use your stylus pen to do this. Place and hold it on the name you want to change. You'll see an arrow spin around and a side menu appear. While still holding the stylus pen on the screen, go to the "Rename" option. Slide the stylus to rename and change it that way.

Hope this helps.

another simple way is : Connect to your N800 Skype Account on your PC and do all the editing you want ... and you'll find them back on your N800 next time you log into Skype

The stylus on the name fix worked exactly as you said.
Many thanks.
I told the Skype help folks ( in this case no help) that the internettablet group helped me with my problem.

Thanks to all.

It took me 15 minutes to figure this out myself by trial and error a couple of weeks ago. Skype needs to put an edit command in the software in a more obvious place.

No offense meant, but I think it's only non-obvious to newbs. The long-hold for context menu is as standard (and almost as pervasive) in the internet tablets as the right-click for the same purpose in Windows. Once you use the tablet some, you get used to that, and it's obvious in a new application to try long-holding on things you want to perform some action regarding.

For that matter the long-hold for right click paradigm is true for most touch sensitive PDA's, not only the NIT's.
