Hi Everyone,

Just got my 810 yesterday and have been playing around with it. One thing I noticed is that I was able to configure just one email account. Is this correct? Do add-on email apps allow for more? I have 3 email accounts which I'd like to use on the 810. If > 1 email accounts is possible with various email apps, please feel free to recommend an email client. Thanks in advance.

Assuming you are using the most up-to-date release, then your e-mail client will be "modest".

To configure more than one e-mail account, fire up your email and from the menu, select Tools>Accounts, then Select "New". This should allow you to create additional accounts.

Thanks, Red.

I see that the drop-down in the upper-left is app-specific. I didn't realize that earlier. So, that's all good. One more, related, question. Is it possible somehow to select which email account you wish to view as you launch the email client? because when sitting at the inbox, it really isn't evident which account you are looking at.

Also - which email client do you use? Any recommendations?

Thanks very much for taking the time.

The default email account will be shown when Modest is launched.
  1. Open Modest's menu.
  2. Tap "Tools".
  3. In the sub-menu that opens, tap "Accounts..."
  4. In the "E-mail accounts" window that opens, tap the circle for the account you want to see when Modest opens.
  5. Tap the "Close" button.

You're welcome, but actually it was sjgadsby who answered that last one! Regarding which client I use, I use modest - the in-built client - as my email requirements are *ahem* modest.

Anecdotally, many NiT owners use "Claws", which is an excellent client, and can be found in your application manager along with many add-ons.
