I'm an idiot. In my defense I had heard there will be a software update to fix the power enigma and assumed that was it.

Ok, I get this RSS feed mentioning that the Performance upgrade is now available (1-21-2008). It improves stability and performance, also allows map upgrades to voice navigation. We recommend everyone upgrades to the latest release.

Cool.... except uh, Where exactly do I find this? They link to tableteer but I don't see it there....
What am I missing?

I checked the OS release, nothing new there. Is this a re-flash, an Applications Manager 'Check for updates' (there is a map thing there that I can't run), can I click the install from the nokia tablet?

Same here. saw it last week and couldn't find a link. No idea how to get to it, and a check with the Tablet Updater software reveals that I have the latest version.

That's the release text of the December release (OS2008 v. 2.2007.50-2)! http://europe.nokia.com/A4680127
I don't know why you got this rss news, but it's definately an old one!

Bah, so sorry. I was reading the current date... It was referring to the OS2008 official not beta 11/27/2007 11:15AM.

I was reading the RSS update time. Boy do I feel dumb. I just had to re-flash to get my unit to boot, so was first time I checked the RSS. I'll update the original post and we can let this thread die.
