Hi!

Somehow some of the bookkeeping files for dpkg got corrupted in my MMC partition, so that the following packages got into a weird state (no list of files or missing checksums for instance):

hildon-control-panel-personalisation-l10n-eses
osso-chat-ui-l10n-itit
osso-addressbook-l10n-enus
pre-installed-images
osso-applet-datetime-l10n-frfr
osso-applet-datetime-l10n-nlnl
osso-clock-l10n-frca
libmetalayer0
macromedia-flashplayer
osso-applet-sound-l10n-nono
libgpsmgr
osso-notes-l10n-ptbr
ke-recv-l10n-frfr
osso-bookmark-menu
hildon-home-image-viewer-l10n-esmx

I removed them using dpkg (forcing the dependencies), hoping to reinstall them from a known good source. However, they don't seem to be available in any repository. Is there such a thing as a "base repository"?

I have OS2007HE on my internal flash so I could use 'dpkg-repack' to regenerate those packages, but I haven't been able to find a working version yet. :-(

Any ideas (besides recopying the flash to the MMC card)?

Thanks!

Pablo B.

UPDATE: The whole installation was hosed, so I had to recopy anyway... :-( Nevertheless, it would be good to know how I can get a working copy of dpkg-repack (handy little tool!).
