I took advantage of this deal, and my card has already gone bad. The strange crashes and general weirdness it caused on its way out don't make up for the loss, but they did provide some entertainment. Heck, at one point I witnessed a DBUS "Connected to [WLAN]" message pop up over my N800's black "Charging" screen. That was a bit of a mind bender right there.
Anyway, I don't know if I got a dud or if all PQI cards are of similar quality, but don't trust your SD cards with the only copy of your files, ya?

Thanks. I haven't gotten so far as to try resurrecting the card yet. Instead, I'm busy trying to figure out what's gone wrong with my N800.
It suddenly no longer boots on battery power alone and only sometimes boots with external power. It says it's charging, but the battery meter in the status bar no longer animates, and I'm not sure if the charge in the battery is actually increasing.
It seems unlikely that my battery would fail just after the memory card became corrupt, so I'm beginning to wonder if my N800 itself is flaking out.
I'm going to leave it on the charger overnight and see what the morning brings.
