Hello folks. Another inane newbie question for everyone.

I want to set up Claws email so that my gmail account is incorporated. My understanding is that IMAP would be the best solution. However, I´m on a couple of mailing lists that have a high volume of traffic so my gmail account has thousands of messages in it (I´m a bit lazy with deleting stuff I don´t need). Are all those messages going to make my N800 (OS2008) explode? (figuratively speaking of course)

Well, I have imap folders with more that 20000 messages, the first time you open it it will take a long time since it'll download all the headers, then it will be just dog slow but it will cope.

I suggest you to try the Modest email client http://modest.garage.maemo.org/.

well, I would't suggest modest with big folders (claws is much better at handling those) but it's your call.
