It seems like whenever I click on a link or select to install an app, I often (in fact most of the time) have to click twice or three times to get the connection to 'take'. Installing apps just sits there at 0% downloaded and a web page will show 'loading' for an interminable length of time before I click the green arrow again or hit 'enter' again and it works, then.
It seems the connection may be going to 'sleep' or something and it takes a couple of prods to wake it up, or something like that. But it does it with almost every link or download I attempt.
This is a second hand unit but the previous ebay owner claimed he'd only had it a few weeks and had barely used it. When I got the device, no apps would load and it had an old pre-Diablo version of the OS so I flashed it and started fresh.
Any ideas? Very impressive device so far - and I've had a LOT of PDA and phone type gadgets over the years (I've been posting on Brighthand as Pixelator since 2000). I even had a CL3200 recently and I find this unit to be quite favorable in comparison for several reasons. I just don't like the internet being so intermittent. (edit: also, the Chat application drops connection to Google Talk via Jabber server constantly, further indication there's a real connectivity issue of some sort going on)
I've been seeing a similar delay on my machine. in my playing around i've noticed it seems to be worse on a WPA encrypted network than on an open one. I've also found that it seems to be much faster if you leave ping running in the background shouting to your router. This is probably not good for your battery, but neither it watching the browsers 'connecting' bar for 30 seconds.
