Ok I get a bonus next week (Bully for me) I have decided to invest it in a new phone and a new tablet.

Anyone here managed to connect a N810 via a N75 phone.

Also on T-Mobile US. Although anyone who has done T-Mobile via an S60 phone can prolly help with advice on this.

I have pretty much decided I want the N75 best compromise of phone vs smart phone and i have the N810 for keyboard and large screen use.

Added after advice below.

Ok can anyone help me with the whole US 3G thing

I know that Tmo only has edge but my company provide a treo on singular so I can steal that SIM every now and then (and will) So am keen to get a phone that is able to handle 3G

Also there are a number of rumors the TMo will bring UMTS out in the next couple of years.

and a few more

I have a little over $1K to spend on Phone and ITT and could prolly stretch it to $1.2K if I felt it was worth it.

But I want the phone to last me a few years at that price. And will be visiting home in the UK over those few years.

I like the N75 as it is a small phone while having the clout of a smart phone activesync is a requirement on the phone as I dont have that on the ITT.

I have also been thinking of going whole hog and looking N95 I would like a clearer idea of the real size. It looks about the same as the treo 750 from work. But it looks way more powerful CPU etc wise and could replace my sansa

But cannot work out if the 3Gs on this one would work on any of the US carriers.

The whole 3G arrangement is getting complex. I do want the option more in the US then the UK for the work account.

Any input would be great. I have till next week to choose.

If you're using T-Mobile, you should opt for the N76 over the N75. You get a better build quality, more updated firmware, and an actual 3.5mm audio port instead of the Nokia pop-port. Either way you're stuck on EDGE, so it doesn't matter.

I currently use a n95-3 with At&t with n800. Works brilliantly. You are out of luck with Tmobile and 3g if using nokia phone. I would definately recommend the n95-3 and if you use with At&t, you will get 3g but not while travelling in the UK. Compared to your 750, the n75 and n95 are much smaller with the n95 being smaller than the n75 but thicker. I have found there is not much that my n95 can't do. I just downloded an application for the n95 that creates a wifi hotspot and shares out the 3g data link. Now, I don't even have to use bluetooth and can have multiple devices using the 3g connection if I want. If you have any questions about the n95, shoot me an email.

Wow the images really make the n95 look bigger then the n75 thanks.

I was looking at the n95-3 on amazon its nearly 200 cheaper then the N95 8GB and I am not sure the 8GB comes available for the US 3G yet. Although it looks like the screen is a little larger on the 8G plus black looks better.

I think the N95 is defiantly the one Ill go for (size sold it) 8g would be my preference but is that will not support US 3g id rather get a 6GB Micro SD card for the -3.

3G in the UK would be nice but I am only visiting home for the next few years when I move back it will be time for an upgrade. So US 3G sounds like the best option. I assume edge would work in the UK?

both the n95-3 and the n98 8g us are 3g but only work on at&t. I also like the black and they have made the screen a little larger but I have heard that the built in 8g is slower than having an micro SD card. I really like having the n95 and is absolutely the best phone I have ever owned. (I have owned a lot of phones) Also, the n95-3 and the 8g have more memory for running apps than the other nokia phones and that's a big plus. I used to run out of mem all the time on my e62.

Hmm Just realized looking at the Wiki site the 8G dose not have a SD card option.

For the difference in price I can get several cards.

Other then .2 inch screen and $50 worth of flash cool color is the only reason for the 8G

Definitely skip the n75. I got it for AT&T and while in theory it's good, it's filled with bugs and workflow issues. If you can afford the n95 get that one.

The N95-3 can be had from TigerDirect for ~$500, and is what I'm currently using on AT&T with my N810. It's a fantastic duo, you won't regret it. However, unfortunately there is no 3G for the Euro continent. If you're really wanting that, there are some Windows Mobile devices from HTC that have tri-band 3G, which will support AT&T here in the U.S. AND 3G in the U.S.

I wouldn't count on T-Mobile's 3G network anytime soon, to be honest.
