Hi,
Remote Connection Manager 0.2 is released : it manages for you evrething that you want to launch in xterm or not : ssh, ftp, rdesktop ... and handle your username, host address of special parameters for you : like if you want to launch ssh with port forwarding or anything else. It is based on grcm but had to be replastered a lot to work on OS2008; Check it out at https://garage.maemo.org/projects/connectionmanag/ or via the App Manager or https://downloads.maemo.org/product/...nnectionmanag/
and let me know...
Fred

PS : Iknow that xterm launch 2 windows and doesn't show anything if there is a problem but it's the way osso-xterm handle that ... I'll try and propose a patch if time permits ...

@jackass124: Yes, Rdesktop works for me under OS2008. I noticed that the program sometime closes down if I don't use the correct ip-configuration. Have you set up a static ip?

Hi Fred,

For some reason the application dies silently while I'm still in the setup of the accounts.
For example I tried to set a new type for the ssh and it took several attempts only to have this set and saved.

Another thing I notice is that the thumbnails you provide have root privileges.

Many thanks for the effort. This seems that will become yet another very useful app from you!!

All the best,
Chris

Thanks Chris,
I'll have a look at this ...

Well, it doesn't happen when launch from xterm so I suppose it is DBus related ... but then it's quite late ...

I seem to have messed up my configuration of grcm 0.3. When I attempt to start it it exits with a seg fault.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling the package doesn't reset the configuration.

Anyone know where is the configuration data stored so I can delete it?

configuration is held in GConf. path : "/apps/grcm/*"
