I have a bunch of 2 hour mp3s (archives of an internet radio show) that I'm currently listening to on my commute using the Nokia N800.

Given my commute is only 45 minutes long, this involves a fair amount of searching at the start to find where I left off. The built in media player will remember the file I was last listening to, but not the position in the file.

Can anyone recommend a good app that will remember where I was when the Nokia is shut down and start playing from there?

I'm using the N800 with OS2008 installed.

Thanks!

Canola2 Beta 5 works also. Though Beta 6 promises better control (like bookmarks) for Podcasts.

I use Canola to listen to my 45 mins to 1 hr Radiolab podcasts.

...that's what I was hinting at: that beta6 would include the bookmarking function.

I'm looking forward to it, not so much for podcasts, but for transcoded video that I put on the n800 from my mythtv box. The shows are usually an hour long, but I rarely have a contiguous hour during the day to watch them, so I'm doing the same thing with video that the original poster is doing with his audio files....

Thanks for clearing that up Briand... I installed beta5 and was confused that it wasn't remembering things at all. I'll look forward to beta6 then!
