My desire:

I want to connect my nokia n810 with my Asus wl 600g modem - router.

The problem:

It seems impossible.

I tried everything i knew, but i couldn't manage a thing. I tried wpa, wpa2, wep, no encryption at all: but it makes no difference

My nokia tablet cannot find my wifi network (no, it's not hidden and no, i am not far away from it).

Occasionally, and after a lot of scanning, i am able to find the wireless AP and connect for a few seconds... until a popup message notifies me about "connection lost". Then, the wireless network magically disappears.

I even experimented with the advanced settings of Asus wl 600g like channel, broadcast rate, 802.11b/g etc. but still the problem remains.

Now, i cry all day as i cannot use my nokia the way it was meant to be used. It's my beloved Internet tablet but it doesn't connect to the Internet

Please help me, i don't know what else to do

Is it possible Asus and Nokia devices to be incompatible?

Anyone who had similar wifi connection issues in the past? Actions he took?

Anyone who has the same router with me?

This is worth a try:

The Power Save Mode implementation in the new OS is too aggressive for a lot of routers. On your tablet, go to the connection manager and in the drop down menu select Tools->Connectivity Settings. Choose connections then edit the connection that's a problem. Under advanced there's an entry for power save mode. Drop that down to intermediate and see if that fixes your problem.

Nope it didn't work.

A thing i noticed: if i go to the web interface of my router, it shows the nokia tablet as a wireless device... of course without association nor authentication.

But, the tablet cannot find the router at the same time. It's a pity.

Also, i forgot to mention that i have the latest nokia software upgrade and the latest router's firmware.

Any ideas? I am clueless...

I even turned power save mode completely off, but the problem remains.

The longest wifi session i noticed, was 15 minutes. It's ridiculous.
