Hi, I just got an N810 (yes it's awesome). I was wondering if anybody had a working minicom port, or really any terminal emulator. I'd like to be able to use a Bluetooth serial adapter. I can get the N810 to connect to the adapter, but I'm not sure how to talk serial with it, so I guess I need some kind of emulator.

I found a port for the N770: http://maemo.org/community/wiki/Appl...865c8506040064

But it doesn't work on mine - it won't install.

Any ideas?

It probably works fine. But go to http://www.electronicproductonline.c...?keywords=n800, look for the USB serial cable; it tells where to get minicom.

Aha, it works.

But now, any idea how I can mount the bluetooth serial as a comm port?

Don't have one yet, so not really.
rfcomm &c. are the things to look up.

I think just setting the serial port to /dev/rfcomm0 (or whatever it ends up being after pairing and connecting) will work.

There was a kbdd for earlier serial BT keyboards that just enabled serial mode with a couple of dbus scripts/programs, or you might try telling the BT system it is a GPS.
