I cannot pair my N800 to an IGO Ultraslim bluetooth keyboard. The N800 sees the keyboard but when I try to pair it, it always fails. I am running OS2008,the machine is running without a problem and I installed the Maemo Bluetooth connector, which shows up on the N800 and loads without a problem. Really frustrating to say the least. Any help on this would be terrific. The keyboard blinks properly and I set it to be discovered as well as that of the N800. TIA

Not sure what the Maemo Bluetooth connector is; to pair my keyboard (Palm 3245WW), it goes something like:
  1. Go to Control Panel -> Bluetooth -> Devices.
  2. Hold pairing button on keyboard till light starts flashing.
  3. Click New.
    <N800 searches, shows up keyboard>
  4. Select keyboard and press OK.
  5. Note passcode, or enter a different one (and remember it!).
  6. Make sure trusted device is selected.
  7. OK
  8. Type passcode (from step 5) on keyboard, then Enter; careful here, as there's no backspacing, and no way to tell if you double a key.
If it didn't work, repeat; either you took too long, or typed wrong. I got it third try first time around; when I had to re-pair after OS2008 flash, I got it in one.

Hi Benson,

I got it to work. I used your recommendations plus reading the terrible docs for the keyboard and got it to work. PIA but the system really rocks. Now I can really use the tablet. Now all I need is are Word and Visio clones to turn the N800 into a very powerful communication tool. Thank you so much for the info.

Best
