Hi, people.
There's the question:
Is it possible to port an open source RTS "Glest" (http://www.glest.org/) to Maemo to run it on N800, N810? I'm sure there's a lot of people who like those games, and this one's open source, so I thought it could be possible.

From their webpage:
Glest uses the cross platform OpenGL API to render 3D graphics.

So, that's a no go for a port unfortunately.

Anything open source that runs well on a Pentium II with no 3D acceleration and 128MB of RAM should be fine here. Also, it needs to be not too action intensive as you won't see much more than ~20fps when refreshing the whole 800x480 screen every frame.

Well, if a PII could render the 3D graphics in software at an acceptable speed, there's a chance the tablet could as well.

Have you looked at the software/gaming forum by any chance?
