because the touchscreen stopped working. (yes i reflashed - and it still did not work in "virgin" state)

the nokiausa.com website which gives status on the repair (which i find very very very good- major props to nokia on giving on line status) says something to the effect that the unit is not repairable and they are awaiting a replacement unit.

my question, does anyone know if the replacement unit is refurbished or a new one???

Last time I checked, policy is to replace with a new device. I do not know if that has changed.

And it's good to hear that reverse logistics have improved!
