I have found that when I am driving, and receive a phone call, that it is difficult to pause Canola. There is a very small space to hit. I have actually hit forward or back a few times. I have often thought that it would be nice if the album art worked as a pause play. Something to give a larger margin for error.

It hasn't been an issue when I am not driving, but I listen to podcasts everyday on my commute, bumper to bumper traffic at 70mph.

thanks,
Hal

If you tap on the brake while holding the cellphone's # key and pressing the menu key on your Tablet, Canola will pause.

I'm all for this idea too... although in case you didn't know, you can hit the center button of the directional pad and it will pause it too.

Thanks for the tip. I did know it, but don't find it a lot easier than the onscreen pause.

This is a good suggestion- How about re-purposing the minimize/maximize button? Then we would have something tactile to click that would be easy to press (not to mention the fact that the n810s direction pad is usually hidden).

Actually, Morpheuz, asked that for activating the " shortcut" for the media and scroll things : / but I am really not wanting to override that. We do respect all other media keys... : /

Marcelo, you mean the full-screen key? I thought (am I wrong?) that Canola was full-screen only. If so, full-screen key pausing playback scarce seems more of an override or failure to respect than not doing anything at all... <shrug />

Though it's worthy of note that that won't help much on the N800, as you know how diminutive the fullscreen key is there...

Yeah,

But the idea was not use it for pause. Was to use it for a quick shortcut for more important things. But I still think we need a lot more study on this.

What exactly: the top right is reserved for notifications. We indeed have no app/ plugin that uses notification, but it would be a real addition to have one. The first go was to have the app switch there what can still happen together with notification. So the fullscreen key would bring you the music controls on top of ANY window, just as quick acess without bothering the actual task.
