I don't use the built-in nokia map program, because, well, Maemo Mapper is so much better.

Can I delete the map data for it? The data in "maps" on the internal memory card? It's taking up a good 1.5GB of space. Will it have any affect on Maemo Mapper? Is it worth maybe keeping this map data just in case?

You can delete a folder and everything will be fine. Id recommend making a backup just in case you ever decide to use Wayfinder. And even if you do not keep a backup, Wayfinder can re-download the maps off their website.

Thanks.

Is there a way to download packages of maemo maps? I'd like to download the US and Euope if it's possible, it'd be easier than having to have wifi...

I actually removed the Maps application altogether. I found it to be a complete garbage experience, and it takes up ALOT of room.

How much room did you accumulate?
