Hi

I would like someone to help me with the auto disconnect settings. I want to have my internet on constantly and i want to have 2g on when idle and 3g when browsing the internet.

Is this possible? and if so, can someone tell me what each setting has to be set to.

Thanks in advance.

doesn't having the phone on dual do this? I don;t think autodisconnect will swap between 2g and 3g while keeping the connection open... I just set it to 2g and connected for im and all that and when I need more speed I switch manually, perhaps mention your suggestion in the autodisconnect thread.

I believe the idea is that autodisconnect disconnects the network connection and then set's itself back to 2g mode to save power, the auto switch 2g/3g-dual is what type of connection autodisconnect re-connects on as an example, it disconnects and reverts to 2g, you open a browser so autodisconnect "auto-switches" to whatever setting you have, this can be 3g or dual it will wait x" and will then connect to the connection.

x" beleive allows you to set the waiting period between the change in reciever to the network connection, I have noticed that it takes me about 10" to get signal when switching to dual from 2g, so autodisconnect sometimes has problems re-connecting...

I hope I have that all right....

HtheB Im not sure on how to get autodisconnect to switch to 2g maintaining the connection...

@courtneyg perhaps you may be interested in this app

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31524

perhaps it could implement a setting whereby the reciever is changed dependant usage.
