I used the search and couldnt find any similar info, so hopefully this wasnt already covered.

First of all, Canola2 team, love the app. I just bought an N800 specifically to use Canola in my car. (Replaced an archos 605 because I hate the interface as a touchscreen interface). Thanks for your work on the project.

Now the issue. Im having a problem where Canola is apparently reading the ID3 tag for Composer in as a Genre. After I update the tags on the files to remove the Composer data, or even delete the files, Canola still lists that data on the Genre list.

Is there any way to manually update this? Medialibary refresh does not get rid of it. I had to uninstall and reinstall Canola, which is kind of a pain because I have to run the album art deal all over again etc.

Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone.

(also, should I submit this as a bug report somewhere?)

first , uncheck all the folders that you watch for music. second, download the emelfm2 filemanager and install it. go into xterm and becomeroot then simply type ... emelfm2. this will open up the program with root privileges. make sure you have the big "H" in the upper right hand corner clicked so you can see hidden files. then navigate to /home/user/.canola
and delete the canola.db file. close the filemanage and xterm then restart canola and recheck all the folders you want watched and this should take care of the problem.
